Beware of inferior imitations being sold by others. Inexpensive imported leather jackets found in department or discount stores and overpriced imported "designer labeled" leather jackets found in boutiques are often inferior in construction and materials. All US Wings Signature Series™ leather jackets are made from the highest quality Grade "A" leather, constructed to US Military specs or better. In addition, you can feel good about wearing a quality garment that was handcrafted in the USA.  Whether you're already a VIP or just aspire to be one, this is the jacket for you! Our Signature Series™ Cowhide VIP A-2 is a modern reproduction of the classic A-2 jacket, but made from incredibly supple cowhide leather for a degree of luxury not usually associated with military jackets. Cowhide has a reputation of being tough and durable, but supple as cardboard. Our Cowhide VIP A-2 shatters that stereotype! The leather is buttery-soft premium cowhide, non-distressed for a more "dressier" look. The quality, softness, and suppleness of this premium leather must be seen to be appreciated. Yet it is still an A-2 and retains all the classic A-2 features, including: snap-down collar, stitched-down shoulder epaulets, one-piece back and sleeves, and knit cuffs and waistband. Plus, with a nod toward modern practicality, we've added side entry handwarmers to the two front cargo pockets and an inside pocket (which were not present in the original A-2s). This is a sharp and stylish "upscale" A-2, more refined than the typical military A-2, but every bit as tough as those worn in the skies over Europe and the Pacific during WWII. Wear this jacket on casual ocassions with a pair of jeans, or with slacks and a tie for your next board meeting. This jacket is destined to become a new classic! A US Wings Exclusive! We also offer our Signature Series™ Cowhide VIP A-2 with a zip in/out pile liner for extra warmth during cold weather. The pile liner is luxuriously soft, provides lightweight warmth without a lot of bulk, and easily zips out for warmer weather wear. The leather is buttery-soft premium cowhide, non-distressed for a more "dressier" look and features all the classic A-2 features, including: snap-down collar, stitched-down shoulder epaulets, one-piece back and sleeves, two front cargo pockets with side-entry handwarmers, and knit cuffs & waistband. However, it has not forgotten its roots -- this refined jacket is still tough as nails and will still stand-up to all your adventures! There are plenty of pockets for your gear, including two front cargo pockets with side-entry handwarmers and two roomy inside pockets. Side-adjustment straps, bi-swing back, heavy-duty brass zipper, and silky nylon-acetate lining round out the features. Whether you're already a VIP or just aspire to be one, this is the G-2 for you! Our VIP G-2 is made from ultra-soft and supple premium cowhide leather. The quality, softness, and suppleness of this outstanding leather must be seen to be appreciated. It is also light in weight (comparable to goatskin), making it an ideal three season jacket. Features bi-swing back, button-thru front cargo pockets with side-entry handwarmers, nylon lining, and a non-distressed (new) finish which gives this jacket a dressier look. This versatile jacket can be worn on casual ocassions with a pair of jeans or with slacks and a tie for your next board meeting. Color: seal brown. Made in the USA.

"Wings of Gold" Antique Lamb G-1

Our "Wings of Gold" Antique Lambskin G-1 is a tribute to all Navy and Marine Corps aviators, past and present. This outstanding G-1 is the result of months of development by Sgt. David Hack (CEO of US Wings) and we're proud to offer it to our customers. The centerpiece of this G-1 is its satin lining, which features the naval aviator's gold wings and "Wings of Gold" beautifully embroidered directly onto the lining, along with a silkscreened image of a WWII aircraft carrier's flight deck accompanied by a brief essay on what it takes to become a naval aviator. The jacket's antiqued lambskin leather is also special. It's substantial (unlike the paper-thin lambskin found on many department store jackets), it's very soft & supple, and the antiquing process gives this jacket a subtle and natural-looking aged appearance which will only look better over time.
Other features include a chocolate brown detachable fur collar (similar to the color of the WWII M-422's fur collar -- the predecessor to the G-1), two front cargo pockets with side-entry handwarmers and a hidden pen slot under the left pocket flap, bi-swing back for freedom of movement, full cut fit for comfort, inside storm flap, two leather-trimmed interior pockets, polyfil insulation, and a heavy-duty antiqued brass zipper.
Although this jacket is not a Signature Series™ VIP Jacket, the quality and suppleness of the leather and the caliber of construction rivals our VIP jackets. Looks great when dressed up with your favorite patches or wear it as is. This jacket, like the naval aviators who inspired it, is simply the best of the best and is perfect for anyone who desires a "high end" G-1. Available exclusively from US Wings.
